The Defense of David Struckman
Egregious Government Misconduct

"Cognitive Dissonance" describes a confused mental state, a condition of conflict or anxiety resulting from inconsistency between one's beliefs and one's actions. That pretty much describes my involvement in the defense of David Struckman, the founding principal of an entity that I have been very critical of, the Institute of Global Prosperity.

In light of the other articles published on this site, one might very reasonably ask, "How can you say that about David Struckman and IGP, and then go to work for his defense team?" Succinctly put, the way I looked at this case, it had nothing to do with the defense of David Struckman; I accepted this assignment, and helped make this case for outrageous, and wholly egregious government misconduct - the fact that the government did what they did to David Struckman was completely irrelevant to me.

On the other hand, the converse is not true.
